Campaign to solve dog mess problem - by Kate Helyer DOG-FOULING will be top of the agenda at a special meeting between Ilfracombe Street Reps and representatives from the police, town and district councils next month. The Reps have been conducting a community survey, The Five P's Campaign - Pin Pointing Pooch Poop Problems. The focus of the campaign has been that any reported incidents have been marked on a map of the town, to establish the locations of "hotspots". Reps are meeting up with other agencies on Tuesday, August 2nd, to seek answers to the fouling problem in Ilfracombe and to see how the information they have gathered, can be used effectively. The Reps will be asking councillors about how dog mess incidents are reported, how long it takes for a response - and which departments are responsible for cleaning up. They will also be looking for answers about the dog warden's responsibilities, how and when the pavements are cleaned and which streets are cleaned.
